Built between 1975 and 1989, the 930 was the first turbocharged model in the 911 series, marking a turning point in Porsche’s performance legacy. Originally developed to meet homologation requirements for racing, it quickly made a name for itself on the road. Its aggressive stance, bold “whale tail” spoiler, and thrilling performance gave it cult status — along with the fearsome nickname, “the Widowmaker.” Early examples featured a 3.0-litre flat-six engine, later upgraded to 3.3 litres, delivering sharp power delivery and a raw, analogue driving experience.

With around 21,589 cars produced during its 14-year run, the 930 remains one of the most revered and collectable models in Porsche’s 911 family.
